Nikos Mitakos

Since December 2005, I have held a series of progressive roles within Colgate-Palmolive. I began as a Production and Materials Planner at the Athens plant, where I was responsible for the production planning of finishing lines and the procurement of raw and packaging materials. In 2012, my career advanced into logistics and supply chain management as a Warehouse Team Leader and Cross Border Sourcing Coordinator, managing personnel and international transport. I returned to the planning function in 2017 as the Production and Materials Planning Manager, while maintaining oversight of the Athens plant’s export operations.

In 2019, I transitioned into technical engineering roles, serving as a Packaging and Project Engineer with a focus on new product launches and machinery installations. I also completed a short-term international assignment in Saudi Arabia as a Production and Materials Planning Manager to establish and train a new planning team. Since 2022, I have been part of the Divisional Procurement team, initially serving as a Plant Procurement Effectiveness Specialist for various international sites. Currently, I am a Category Materials Manager overseeing the Rigid category including HDPE bottles, resins, and oral care injected parts where I lead strategic purchasing and manage supplier relationships.
